Airtran Airways, Inc., 342 F.3d 1248 (11th Cir. 2003) (Florida state law claim for retaliatory discharge not preempted by Airline Deregulation Act); Lipphardt v. Durango Steakhouse of Brandon, Inc., 267 F.3d 1183 (11th Cir. 2001) (reinstating jury verdict for plaintiff in suit for retaliatory discharge);Hudson v. Int'l Computer Negotiations, Inc., 499 F.3d 1252 (11th Cir. 2007) (holding that a trial court cannot sanction a lawyer for taking an appeal);Conroy v. Before founding the Firm in 1998, Mr. Berman worked as an associate with firms who practiced both plaintiff-side and defense-side employment litigation. In these positions, Mr. Berman acquired extensive knowledge of employment law and developed trial advocacy skills. During law school, Mr. Berman clerked for a plaintiff's side employment law firm and published a law review article in the South Carolina Law Review titled "Whistleblower Protection: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," 43 S.C.Law Rev. 215 (1992).
